Late night I read OPL posts for the last month or two and Mum mentioned the 13th being the twins birthday. So I thought, I should ask everyone to about post about that day. Strangely, we did:
13&13 on 13.
The Day started at Midnight, as all do, but I was there with Olivia, and two of her more game friends, Emily and Mary for the Midnight showing of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Olivia, Mary and I loved it, I had anticipated no movie more since Star Wars in 1977. I loved it, it struck such a chord in my soul. I felt bad for Emily, as she sacrificed much to earn the money and sleep and it totally was not her, however she was not alone, and the movie has not done well.
After dropping the girls off and saying goodnight to Olivia I finished packing and drove to Salt Lake City International Airport. I had been offered the last minute opportunity to cover a Young Living event in Mexico City. It was not easy to say yes, usually I would have shifted the day of the Party to the next weekend, but the date and day... too good not to celebrate on. So I figured the girls could pull it off on there own. Here is their story:

AUGUST 13, 2010
Olivia, Anna, and I, started to walk to Macey's after we set up the average party set-up. Ladder in the living room, salt purposely spilled on the table, such and such.
Jane had already left to the wonder land place called "Lagoon". Anna was holding her small white purse with golden stars with pride, sometimes swinging it around.
My head was hidden in a pink cap, also wearing brand new shoes, now giving me nice big fat blisters. Livvy just kept on going, her prized item with Anna, in her purse, a England flagged designed wallet. No clouds were in the sky, which made it hard to tolerate the heat from the sun. When we arrived at the "store better then Walmart" we started to hunt down junk food. Our result was a bag of pretzels, two bags of Chex Mix, two giant bottles of soda, one spirit, one forgotten brand of soda, a cake along with candles, and balloons. We took our leave, Anna holding all the balloons, which made people point and look when we passed by. One lady asked if we wanted a ride. We declined nicely, and thanked her, Anna a bit reluctant. When we got home, I collapsed on the couch. Later the guests came, along with Emilee, since Livvy asked her to come and watch over me and the others. Jane came home. We ate cake, I opened gifts, and we watched some Wallace and Gromit. We decided to go to the school park to play some games. Later we came back, and played night games. I went inside instead. Soon it was over, and people went home. Except Mal, who stayed and spent the night with us.

Anna~
Well it first started out when I had to walk to Macey's. We got 80 dollars from dad,we got cake, balloons,we got junk food, and much more.It was a horrible walk home. When we got home Kate took a nap, and Olivia and I set up the room, but we didn't put out the junk food. Then Kate came down, and said "This looks awesome!"A couple hours past Jane got home I think Then Kate's friends got here.We listened to music and the we ate cake, and opened presents. We went to the school, and played games. When we got home we watched a movie people got bored. Some people went out side and played night games like I did.So then Kate's friends got picked up by there parents. then that was the end of that party.
Olivia~
I went to scott pilgrim.
It enchanted me.
I went home and to bed,
with the images of epicness in my head.
When I awoke, it was the day,
and my father was already away.
he ran to the border,
and a party was in order.
we left on foot into the sunlight,
my deodorant didn't put up a fight.
we purchased food,
I wasn't in the mood.
Once we returned,
there was a party I governed.
pubescent females,
chex mix entrails,
olivia's august the thirteenth.
Laurie~
My Friday the 13th of August began as usual of late, I woke up late in the morning as I stay up late at night. But actually this day was unusual for two different reasons; one was that David had left for a work trip to Mexico, the other was that my darling twin babies were turning 13 years old, ironically on Friday the 13th. And as I write, today is 10/10/10! Something to be noted, I think. Perhaps this is what gave David the idea for us to write about turning 13 on the 13th.
Although I was happy for Kate and Jane, I was a bit self-reproachful and apprehensive as there was to be a party at our home that evening for Kate (Jane decided to spend her birthday at an amusement park called Lagoon with her cousin, Rachel, who is 12 years old). I am not up to hosting any kind of event and David was not going to be there! But I actually wasn't too worried as the girls are now grown-up enough to take care of many things themselves. Olivia is almost 15 and Anna is almost 10. Preparing for the party was left up to Olivia, Kate, and Anna. They did it all themselves! I am particularly impressed that the three of them walked downtown to the grocery store to purchase snack food, a birthday cake, and many helium balloons! Such a task actually required six hands and so it worked out perfectly. They had to do this as I continue to be ill with severe depression and I also have agoraphobia (where I can't leave the house). I don't drive anymore, either. I only leave the house when I absolutely have to, such as to see a doctor. This is a shame as I was doing so well last year, I was well enough to attend church on a regular basis and I even held down a church calling for a year, I was the Laurel Advisor and I really loved it and hated to give it up. So I live a very limited lifestyle now and I don't know when it will change.
Back to the girls. I was so proud of them for decorating the room and making everything festive. When the guests arrived I came out of my room (which isn't often) and enjoyed watching the girls having fun. I really enjoyed singing "Happy Birthday" to both Kate and Jane, as Jane had come back home by the time of Kate's party. I am now the mother of three teenage girls! I remember looking forward to this day, not in the usual sense, but projecting forward when I looked at my four girls when they were little. I thought of how I would have four teenage girls all at once! Now it's Anna's turn in a few more years. Kate seemed to have a very good time at her party and Jane was happy with her day, too. So all was well.

Hi guys
That was great to get a little look into your lives. You are all so literary - it was a pleasure to read. I would love to go to Lagoon one day. We will try to do that.
"The Right Place"
Interesting political statement. ;)
