Very little to comment on happened in September, and what there was, Ray has already reported. It was a wet month, so everybody said. I cannot say I noticed it that much. What I kept noticing were the masses of flowers springing up everywhere. The rain impacted on me in that I neglected my garden and the weeds grew lush. I was happy working in my room when the rain lashed the windows. Better rain than earthquakes.
The earthquakes in Christchurch got our Bishopric emergency conscious, and we got reminders about 72 hour packs and things. I dutifully replaced the food in our packs with newly-purchased items, though I thought if there was an immediate emergency we might just as well be eating the old food. Ray bought batteries for his battery radio, and put a copy of our genealogy on his new portable hard drive. That was the extent of our preparation. We have probably left something undone, we hope we never have to find out.
I went to see an osteopath about what Ray calls my 'stiff neckedness'. I would get cramp in my neck and it would seize up rather painfully. She did wonders by loosening up locked muscles at the back of my neck. Last year she fixed a new back injury. Even she can do nothing about the 40-year old back problem, but taught me exercises to minimize it. Now just to get her to fix my sore arm and I'll be good as new!
Now a few comments on other entries.
Nicola going to quit her job! What faith she and Mark have in their new venture! And how brave they are!
Jonathan seems to be doing well in his world. That is so good to hear.
Nathan, I do not suppose they caught the petty thieves!
Glad your family got to stay at Janet's place.
So Calvin got the blessing of TV work by attending Mutual!
I am surprised Margaret never took me on those walks in the Dandenongs when she lived at Research. Perhaps they are new since those days.
I am always happy to hear news of our missionaries.
Guess that's about it for September.

Hi Rosemary
It may seem brave for me to leave, but really there seems to be little risk involved (believe it or not). We feel very sure that it is the right thing to do, and have a calmness that was not there until we made that decision.
