Ray's Ravings

Have just read over Rosemary’s contribution and that certainly covers the highlights of June pretty well.
I have this block that is hard to overcome and that is being able to get started on so many little tasks around the place.
This time the excuse is that it’s too cold to do things outside and a few months from now it will be too warm to do things. It takes me a lot of willpower to even answer emails. However it’s not being lazy, but being old I can blame it on. It’s a wonder I can get up in the morning!
Part of the problem is that a lot of the novelty has worn off working on the computer. I even have gotten a little tired of reading. Now that is a worry.
The main trouble is that I have too much. (Not bragging) Too many books, too many CDs which gives me too much music. Too many shoes, I’m just spoiled.
Not that I would like to lose any of it and have to start collecting all my junk over again. I must shake myself and get on with it.
However I must admit that typing away on this laptop keyboard as I have said before, still gives me a lot of satisfaction. What an advance over the old mechanical typewriter. It now looks like something from ages past.
Yes, if I could have seen into the future from say the 1950s I would have thought myself living in a dream world.
Now, what will it be like for my grandchildren when they can look back fifty years and be able to have the same experience as I am having fifty years from now. Or will it all go to mush and that people in my generation will have had the better overall time and experience. Maybe it has been like this for generations.
There is for sure one thing about it and that is my generation is fast fading away. Dying like flies. Another interesting experience.
Oh well enough of this and so into July…

Al the best to all of you, The Oldest.
