Don't get too excited - he doesn't usually say much. He seems to be doing fine though.
Nyaaargh! I have to read a ton of full-size emails, and then be expected to write another! Man, there was a lot to read through, including this weeks OPL! I'm afraid I can't say much today.
It seems like my general epistles and photos aren't getting through to Jess! I trusted you guys, what the heck (I kid, just please make sure she gets them)?
Zone conference this week! It was fantastic as usual, and apparently our Zone gets the best food! I'm gonna miss those hamburgers... President says that if we continue the way we are, we'll get the most baptisms the mision has had since the 80's! and if you discount the record set in the 80's by technicality (they were bribed with gold rings to get baptisms! that ain't right.), then we are close to SETTING the record for baptisms since the mission was first established! Wow!
Mum, am I a fast eater? I never considered myself as one, but at zone conference, we all got the same portion on our plates. I ate the delicious lunch at what I believed to be a leisurely pace. I made sure not to stuff, I kept my mouth closed, and I savoured the flavour. I finished two helpings before the others had finished their first. a couple of elders near me marveled and wondered where on earth the food went. I guess you really do discover new things about yourself on a mission...
In terms of actual mission work, we set someone else for baptism! I can't remember if I told you about her before, but her name is Jose. She's very golden, and she has an eight-year-old son! So with them, my current baptism tally will stand at 7. Is that pretty good?
I wish I could write more, but the other elders are baying for my blood. I will plan out my next email beforehand next week, so I can pretty much guarantee a better email.
Things are great here, and I know that I would be seriously not as cool if I didn't choose to go on a mission. Thank you, Family, for supporting me, and a special thank you to Jess, without whom I'm unsure I would have gone on a mission at all.
