Hello all you fellows, this is to tell you that another month has gone into eternity and in case you didn’t know the year of 2011 it now two thirds shot.
As Rosemary has said I am time conscious, caused no doubt by not being busy enough. However I am no longer lazy because I can blame my inactivity on my age!
I have read Rosemary’s blog and that pretty well covers anything different in our quiet life styles. I like being retired. I like buying stuff at the op-shop, I like not having to get up in the dark winter mornings to travel to work I do not like. I like Arnott’s Shapes Sensations, Honey Soy Chicken with sesame seeds.
We will now have one minute’s silence for the brown pigeon of about 18 years of age. I watched him die. He did it very gracefully.
Today if all goes well I will be going out to visit a chap in Arapuni Village who is pretty well house bound as he isn’t allowed to drive his car because of his health condition. What we want to do is usually magnified when we are unable to do it. 17 years ago he had an operation on a growth in his brain and then a few years later two stokes and now at the tender age of 50 has been reduced to the life of an aged man when he should be in his prime. He was a farmer of Dutch extraction. All very frustrating for him to say the least. I usually visit him once a week in connection with ‘Age Concern’ which name in itself is ironic in his case. Some people seem to have a harder time than others in this existence, I certainly have been fortunate in my experience.
