Ray's Ravings for 2011 Feb.

Hello all you sufferers on what we call the earth, the insane asylum for the universe. All suffering at full capacity?
It has come to my attention and duty to do out this blog for the enlightenment of the masses with my deathless words.

For the glorious month of February 2011 and all that.

The first day of course was Rosemary’s birthday anniversary, so being a special day we did a few special things.
Drove out to the mountain and did all the walks within the southern enclosure of Maungatautari. Lovely day for it.
We then drove back to Tirau for a treat at the Sub-Way and so returned to 130 to take off four panels of insulglaze in the set of windows in the dining area so that the chap can put onto the inside glass reflective plastic to cut down the heat. This gives the window a mirror-like look from the outside.
Quite a busy day in my style of living. I can take it or leave it. Life is all a matter of acceptance one way or another.
Another day I went out to the garage and found a flat tire. So blew that up by hand pump and drove it up to the top of the street where we have a garage that specialized in tires and was serviced right away while I went over to the council offices to pay my rates for the privilege of living in Putaruru. Back at the garage he pulled out a nail and I believe that was the first flat on this car since I have had it. “How much is that going to be?” I asked him and he said “forget it!!” Wonders never cease.
They have just finished another section of the Waikato River Walk and so we parked the car at a small reserve north of Arapuni called ‘The little Waipa’ and trundled along back to the village and then returned to the car. 10 k.
Then the big day of the 22nd. I took Rosemary to Rotorua Airport and we thought to Christchurch where she never arrived that day. I will let her tell the story. Meanwhile I did a little shopping uptown.
So endeth the month. One of the warmest on record it would seem. The weather around the world has been exceptional.
